IPOZ Surveyor is comprised of a single enclosure containing an inertial measurement IMU, a CPU and a lithium-ion battery pack. The total weight of the enclosure and contents is 27 pounds, making it more portable than most competitive systems on the market today. A rugged, handheld Windows CE device is used to interface with the system via a proprietary program specifically written for land seismic surveying. The CE device can be interfaced to the INS with either an RS232 connection or via a WLAN.
